I saw this mule deer at the Vancouver Zoo, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  It was the first time I’d ever seen a deer in the water, but he certainly enjoyed the cress!!

This is a hybrid falcon, a cross between a Peregrine Falcon (the fastest falcon),  and a Gyrfalcon (the largest falcon).  She’s owned by Radical Raptors out of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and is regularly part of Radical Raptors’ shows that demonstrate and teach people about birds of prey

This Cooper’s Hawk was spotted in a garden in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.  These hawks prey mainly on other birds, although they will also prey on rodents.
